Logging In and Managing Your Membership


You can manage your Nautical Research Guild membership online, including renewals, membership level, and various preferences and options.  If you'd prefer, you can always contact us to make changes as well.

Accessing Your Membership Account

Logging Into Your Account

To manage your membership online, you'll need to log in.

    1. Click the LOG IN button in the upper right corner of this page.
    2. Log in with your email address and password.

Setting Your Password for the First Time

If you joined the NRG using this website, you should have been able to set your password when you signed up.  If you didn't, you can set it using the Lost Password instructions below.

If you joined before this new website launched, you already have an account on this website if you gave us your email address.  You just need to set your password to begin using the membership management features.  You can do this using the 'Forgot Password' feature.

    1. Click the LOG IN button in the upper right corner of this page.
    2. Click the Forgot Password link.
    3. Using the form, enter your email address and verify you're a human by typing in the code.
    4. Check your email for further instructions.
If you did not give us an email address when you joined,  contact the NRG office.  (You need an email address on file to access your membership online.)

Lost Your Password?

You can reset your password by email.

    1. Click the LOG IN button in the upper right corner of this page.
    2. Click the Forgot Password link.
    3. Using the form, enter your email address and verify you're a human by typing in the code.
    4. Check your email for further instructions.

If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder!

Your Membership Profile

Once you're logged in, you can access your membership profile at any time.

    1. Click the LOG IN button in the upper right corner of this page.
    2. Click View Profile.

Your membership profile page contains all the details about your NRG membership.  

Editing Your Profile

Click the Edit Profile button to make changes to the information displayed on your profile page.  Use this to update your contact information and email preferences.

Profile

The Profile section includes all your contact information.  Use this screen to update your mailing address or email address.

Privacy Options

Click the Privacy link in your profile to adjust your privacy settings.  This determines what items on your profile other members can see.  Currently the NRG does not publish a member directory, but these settings can be set up at any time to ensure your privacy.

Email Subscriptions

The Email subscriptions link in your profile lets you manage what kinds of emails you'll receive from the NRG.  There are two options:

    • Automatic event announcements.  This includes information about about NRG conferences and other events the NRG may offer from time to time.
    • Mass emails from administrators.  This covers most emails the NRG sends, including news and announcements and special offers.

Unchecking either of those options will prevent you from receiving emails of that type.

Please note that you cannot opt-out of emails about your membership or purchases.  To ensure you receive information and updates about things you've paid for (like your membership or a product order), we always send these types of emails.
